Got what we paid for? – We chose this range hood for our remodel because we liked the simple clean look, and we were not installing any upper cabinets, so we needed the chimney.

Not the best experience – The first one came early but was damaged when taken out the box. Getting a replacement went smoothly but honestly i was upset that so much money was spent on this and it came damaged. Everything was down and waiting, so to having to wait for another week was a inconvenience. The first one arrived with no instructions so we had to download it off the internet and the spacing to hang the hood is so that you can’t put it into studs which is unsettling to me. Over all it looks good still haven’t peeled off the protective cover yet because we want to move it slightly. Not sure if I would recommend. Will update pictures with it on the wall.

Best Customer Service Ever and 3 year Warranty Where Human answers phone and fixes problem – This product did require a new light kit very soon and one just before the three year warranty expired. However, when I contacted customer service on their website I got a call back the same day and they sent me a new light kit. The light kit did not work and they sent another… which installs easily and the second one worked. The light kits aren’t the best… but the customer service is top of the line. I just cleaned the oil and grease off the range hood surface with paper towels and it looks like new. Great Product.

It might take a couple tries to get a trouble free unit – I ordered the unit in July, a few weeks ahead of the remodeling schedule. As soon as it arrived we opened the box and read all the paperwork and took some measurements. We started the remodel in August and the last step was the installation of this hood. When I turned t on it was very noisy and it was obvious from the vibration that we had either a bent shaft on the motor or an out of balance fan wheel. There are two fan wheels on this unit. I have a background in the HVAC trades and industrial HVAC equipment sales so I knew it was the unit and not me. I began dealing with the manufacturer directly and spent a couple weeks trouble shooting and partially disassembling the unit to reposition and tighten the fan wheels. This was not fun or easy and it did not solve the issues. In September it was determined that the unit was defective and not repairable by me. The manufacturer did not want the unit back and asked me to work with Amazon to return it. My return window had long since closed but I opened a chat window with Amazon and they agreed to take it back. I was quoted an 80% refund but promised it would be adjusted to 100% once the unit was returned. After telling the manufacturer that the unit had been accepted for return by Amazon the manufacturer offered to test a unit at the warehouse to make sure it was not defective and to send me a video of it being tested. This was done in short order and I paid the manufacturer for the new unit. They waived the shipping fee and I got it in about a week on the 12th of OCTOBER. I removed the first hood and put both hoods on the dining room table to run them side by side before installing the replacement hood. The new hood was very quiet and the old hood sounded like someone was pounding on the table with a hammer. I packed the old hood in the new box and Amazon credited my account immediately on notification of shipping but for only 80% of the original price. I am waiting to take that up with Amazon after they receive the unit. I think if you are going to buy this hood you should work directly with the manufacturer from the start. Test the unit as soon as you get it! it is easy to unbox and plug in. Just keep your hands away from the fan discharge or you could wreck some fingers. Just a safety alert. I didn’t wreck any of my fingers. Good luck! Also, read a bunch of the other reviews. Lots of good info contained in many of them.

Solid affordable hood with good customer service – This hood is well built and I found it fairly easy to install. After a few years I had a problem with the lights, but after finally making contact with customer service, they were able to fix the issue. Recommended.

Clean look – Very nice, plain grill instead of wire mesh on the vent side. Recommend buying the extension kit so it will fit up to the ceiling making installation easier. Ours would be too tall without the extension pieces which are shorter than those that come with the hood.
