AN IDEAL DISC TO PREP THE FLOOR: Removing a variety of coatings like paint epoxy, urethane, wax, tile, carpet adhesive, and pad residue with our versatile prep tool is an essential process to ensure that after grinding and finishing, your floor carpet or tiles will look flat, even, and usable in the long run. Our Tungsten Carbide Abrasive Disc (TCAD) is manufactured to prepare a concrete surface for finishing — exactly made for this.
MADE RIGID AND STRONG: This grinding or polishing disc is made of tungsten carbide that ranges from two-to-six times as rigid as steel, cast iron, and brass, and has a much higher compressive strength than forged metals and alloys. Our grinder has two-sided discs for extended use and is reusable for multiple jobs. This disc works with a floor polisher with one-and-a-half horsepower, and a rubber-backed sandpaper drive plate that spins at 175 rpm.
QUICK AND EASY CLEAN TO LAST LONGER: Using a floor buffer or wheel, our tungsten carbide abrasive disc can remove several coatings, including paint and tile adhesive. But you will have nothing to worry about its lifespan because of its double-sided and esay-clean aspect. With a wire brush, just mist the floor, and you can quickly scrub to make it last longer. With particularly sticky residue, spread play sand on the wet floor to reduce gumming in the TCAD disc.
THE WAY TO WORK WITH OUR ABRASIVE DISC: Before everything else, sprinkle water on the floor to avoid buildup and keep the prepping process efficient. The drill is simple: attach a Tungsten Carbide Abrasive Disc to your buffer’s normal rubber-backed sandpaper drive plate, and you’re ready to prep your concrete surfaces before its finish.
