Needed pro installer, so far working well – This doesn’t come with a pump and since our drain is higher than floor level, we had to build a shelf for it to sit on. It’s also not clear how to buy a pump and no response from customer service via Amazon. It absolutely needs to drain water or ice sits in a huge puddle. Have only used it for a few days but it makes plenty of options ice and has been working well.

Nice unit. – Bought a new refrigerator but didn’t want to pay the extra $400 to buy a refrigerator with an ice machine. Bought this one for about the same price and will definitely outlast the cheap ones that are installed in refrigerators. Downfall is that ice slowly melts causing the unit to make more ice. Ensures ice is always fresh though. Easy install just need access to power, drain and water.

Poor product instructions & support – The instruction booklets is vague & support horrible. Have to go through mid person who submits ur request then wait for email response (went to junk) to CHINA! Email response was automated response & deferred me back to Amazon-who knows nothing about this product (& why should they)? Included was an outer filter with connection tubing which runs to ice machine on one end and to ice faucet on the other, but isn’t same size as faucet. Booklet doesn’t give sizing information so u have to figure it out & get adaptor to fit each end! Impossible to get response just for the sizing! Ice on demand – First and foremost, you’re going to need to run to the hardware store if you’re installing this in your home. I was able to find everything I needed, including a filter. I didn’t buy the drain pump because this is located near my back door and my patio is lower than the ice machine, so I let gravity do its job and tape the hose against the machine when I’m not draining it. That’s just my Mickey mouse job, I’m not recommending it.

You have to see it to believe it. – The pictures of the machine do not do it justice. This is more specifically for a mid cabinet installation where the height of the counter is approximately 1 foot off the ground with a floor drain available. Since I did not have a floor drain available and an outside installation was not recommended, I installed this at the end of my kitchen cabinets using the Amazon 30 x 14 wire shelving unit. This also required fixing a drain tube to run from the ice maker into my sink. For this I used 1 1/2 inch PVC piping with four 90 degree elbows to create the downward track needed to go to my sink and not spill onto the counter. Other than that, the problems that I have with the unit are minimal, and are as follows:
