Best purchase ever! – What were we waiting for? Buy it! I have a 7 year old who is on the spectrum, as well as an 11 year old who is dying to learn the combination. This keeps them out of the fridge in between meals and late at night. They have to ask for things and I love it. That is the way it should be. There was so much food going to waste. Kids were opening things just because. This gives us a bit more control. We tried another one prior to this and it didn’t do the job.

Lasted almost 2 years – I thought this item was pretty good and it lasted almost 2 years before it started having issues, but I’m not happy it started acting up. We did not seek a replacement from the seller because there were some things about it my elderly mother with arthritic hands didn’t care for, so I just started looking for a new one. The design on this one was a little hard for Mom to manage. She was always putting it on upside down and then misreading the numbers, and the numbers weren’t easy for her to rotate with her fingers. They would sort of catch and they are small. It tended to pop open on its own before you mixed the numbers, which just adds to the dexterity issues. The new one we got is by the same maker but is a different design and we like it better (Fridge Max Cable Lock). I’m a little wary now that it will last because of our experience with this one, but we’ll see.

I sent an email explaining my problem not really expecting anything considering other vendors rarely even respond to my emails in the past. This however, was not to be the case. It functions as described. No problems whatsoever with this lock.
