Great ice maker! – This ice maker is a replacement for an Igloo ice maker that just quit working. This has been a pleasant surprise. This ice maker is so so quiet. I forget that it’s even on! It makes ice, just as described and it does not take up much space. I haven’t had any weird or funky tasting ice either. I always use bottled water to make my ice, never ever use tap! It was a good price as well because I HAVE TO HAVE ICE! I have no idea of how much water I drink a day, I do know that it has to be ice cold with ice in it! Again, it is so so quiet! I really am glad that I made this purchase.

It’s quieter than most ice machines. – We purchased this for our cabin. It’s quieter than the one we previously had and a little more streamlined. Very convenient in warm weather.

Fills 20oz cup with ice – I am careful to use only distilled water as directed. So hoping for long life. The ice cubes are about 1/2 inches big. Which makes it easy to fill a narrow mouth drinking jar. I also find it useful for filling my mini swamp cooler with ice on those exceptionally hot days.

Makes great ice, but… – The machine does the job well and the ice turns out great, but I just wish it #1, kept the made ice more frozen, as it melts while it sits and becomes a lump after you put it into the freezer, and #2, that it didn’t shut off after it was full, because I can’t always get to it right away. When it shuts off automatically, all the ice starts to really melt. So when I decide to make ice, I have to be present, which isn’t practical. It’d be nice to be able to turn it on before bed and wake up to a full ice bucket. Or even do it while I’m doing other things and not have to worry about it.

ICE, ICE, BABY!! – I’d been wanting to get one of these ice makers for quite some time, and when the one in our fridge died, I decided NOW was the time. So far, I really like it. It took me a bit to figure it all out, but it really is super simple to set up and use. I was over thinking things. The main thing to know is that the power light is a solid BLUE when it’s on.. not a flashing blue, and the instructions aren’t really clear on that fact. I believe the first time I used it, there was air in the lines and it was clearing itself of that. All three lights were flashing blue, and things were happening inside, but no ice. Without knowing exactly what to expect, I was unsure how to proceed. I eventually turned it off and back on, and it started making ice. It’s very quiet, and makes ice as quickly as it claims. Be SURE not to fill the water tank all the way to the line, or your new ice made will lay in water when it drops into the ice tray. You’ll also need to let it set flat upright for 24 hours before use. There is a silicone plug in the bottom of the tank to drain any left over water. And honestly that’s all there is to it. Put the water in and wait.. empty the ice bin when it gets full. Check the water level occasionally to be sure it’s high enough for the pump to work. Excellent price, looks nice, and it even makes the good kind of tube ice. Very pleased with this purchase. I’m including a quick video of how it works.

It’s OK but could be better… – I treated myself to this since I don’t do that often… to use for my ninja blenders since I don’t feel comfortable using regular sized ice tray ice. I got this in December i guess.. I didn’t realize I’ve had it that long lol…. but I have only used a handful or two times. So far it’s an OK machine but it’s not perfect.

Good value. Hate the beeping – Good value for price. Makes good ice. Only complaint is an alarm goes off when it’s full or when it needs water. If it was 2-3 beeps no big deal. It’s 30 beeps. They aren real loud but if I could turn it off I’d be happy. Have it in our camper and turn it off at night because the beeping wakes me up.
