Worked well through a couple of brown & black outs – I have a whole-house protector as well, but these worked as described during 3 or 4 brown outs in Florida. Waited 3-minutes before coming back online. Had 2 for past 6-months, and still working.

Doing their job – Bought this for the refrigerator (Refrigmatic) and the (Lavamatic) for the washer. We lost an expensive washer to a power outage last year during a thunder storm. It fried the motherboard. Power surges can severely damage your appliances. Even though my refrigerator is older, I don’t want to replace it for that reason. It’s a work horse, stainless steel, dual compressor Kitchenaid, 17 years old! Working perfectly and looking great. Had a power outage last week. I ran to see if it did it’s few minute pause and yes it did. Came back on when it said it would and working as it should. Super easy to use. Just read the instructions.

Provided protection during a recent power outage – This product appears to have provided protection for our kitchen refrigerator/freezer and also our 5.0 cu ft chest freezer during a recent outage where the electricity went out and quickly came back on several times within a few seconds. The surge protector cut power to the fridge & freezer when the power first started to go out, and did not allow electricity to power those devices until about 3 minutes later when the power had stabilized. IMO these surge protectors are a very worthwhile investment to protect refrigerators and chest freezers from having their electronics get damaged during power surges and outages.

Design is flawed – I wish the receptacle is flush with plastic casing. My Samsung refrigerator’s plug isn’t fully set in because the cable is angled like some of the photos already posted.

Does push the fridge forward at least an inch or 2” – My electrician recommended I install a whole house surge protector at the main panel. In addition he recommended adding point of use surge suppressors. It’s sort of adding layers of protection. The idea is to adsorb higher voltage loads and send them to the ground connection.

Applicance Insurance – Just plug in and use. The surge protector and delay should protect the refrigerator’s components and compressor.
