To dry out. – I have been using this machine almost every weekend since I received it in August. Works fantastic. Flavor of the ice is good. To dry it out just drain all the water out. And put a little serviette under the lid when you close it and it will dry out on its own. It will allow enough air to enter and dry out the water.

Looks expensive but ice isn’t that great. . – Looks expensive but ice isn’t that great. Ice is super light. If you don’t get the basket and dump it the in the freezer, it melts down quickly. Ice is so wet it refreezes in a clump.

Does what it’s supposed to and I love it. – First of all, I’ve only had this for about two months, but so far we all love it. I had to buy an ice maker when my fridge took a dump and it looks like its going to take some time to get a replacement part due to the computer chip shortage in the US (yay). We have a garage fridge that we use full time now, but it’s older and doesn’t have an ice maker, plus the freezer is small, so ice trays took up too much room. Buying bags of ice and keeping in coolers wasn’t practical either, so I bought this. Not one person has complained about it. Does it make noise? Yes, it’s an appliance. But our household is noisy too, so no one notices. There’s actually a fire alarm downstairs that needs it batteries changed, but we don’t hear that anymore either. Does the ice melt if I leave it in there? YES duh! It’s not a freezer, it’s an ice maker. And my family is addicted to crushed ice, so even though that’s not what it makes, the ice is soft enough to placate them. And it freezes just fine, not one big lump as I have read in other reviews. If you don’t let it sit and melt, but put in the freezer as soon as it’s done, the cubes keep their shape. It’s called science people. If your ice ain’t freezing in the freezer, that’s a whole other issue. Anyway again, only have had this for a couple of months, so we’ll have to see about longevity. But as long as it’s not made by Samsung, it should be just fine…
