Works good but – My review is based on trying this pizza oven on a stove top. I have not tried it in my oven or barbecue grill yet. There’s some definite problems with using this on the stove top. Number one it heats up the house and is counterproductive to having an air conditioner on in the hot summer. I put it on my largest burner and even on the largest burner on my cooktop it took a good 15 minutes to even get it close to 400°. That’s the highest temperature it ever registered. I’m guessing that it was hotter than that because the pizza cooked in 5 to 6 minutes. I cooked three pizzas total. The first one as you can see in my pictures burnt on one side because I never turned it. The side of the pizza that’s open does not get as hot as the side that is enclosed. I fix this by rotating the pizza while it was cooking. This also allowed me to check the bottom of the pizza to ensure I wasn’t burning it. I think this cooker would work better on the stove top if it had a door to close the opening. But it’s not necessary if using it in a barbecue or oven. The pizzas came out great with the bottom of the crust perfectly cooked. We love woodstone Pizza that has a nice crunchy bottom crust. I also use a little bit of cornmeal on the peel so that the Pizza would slide off the peel easier. But this presented a problem on the second and third pizzas. And that is because the leftover cornmeal started to burn and this eventually led to a lot of smoking and all of my fire alarms went off. I really like this and everybody enjoyed the pizza. But I’m going to only use it in the oven or in my smoker going forward. The craftsmanship on it is very good and has two handles on either side to pick it up. The other downside to cooking on a stove top is if you touch any part of the body you’re going to get burned. But overall I’m very happy with it and may even change my review to a five-star if it works well in a barbecue or oven. I plan on trying both methods. But for now I definitely recommend it and happy with it. Just not going to cook it on the stove top ever again.

Good for the price – I use this on a 12,000BTU gas range burner. My 13,000 burner gets the stone too hot. So does the 12000. The stone gets crust-burnig hot before the top of the pizza gets cooked. I put a circular pizza-stone under the square one. This helped, but took away 0.25 inches of oven height. I use this often for pizza, flatbreads like barbari, and hybrid tacos/tostados. The tbermometer was garbage. I replaced it with one mada for grills. I just made cornbread in it.

High quality – Very good quality, I used to own a pizza restaurant, and it’s the best and simplest way I’ve found to make quality home made pizzas at home. The only issue I have is my gas stove can only get the temp up to around 450, I wish I could get it a bit hotter.

My family and I love this pizza oven. It is easy to use. Fun and tasty results. – I have a small grill. It works on the grill, but I wanted a dedicated burner so that I had full access to the grill for making grilled vegetables to go on the pizzas.
