Mixed feelings so far – With the number of Covid-19 cases continuing to spike as winter nears, I ordered this freezer so I could stock up on some items before the inevitable shortages occur. In that regard, it appears I bought the right freezer. I’ll update this review after several months go by.

Freezer – I am very pleased with the size of the freezer. It does have to be set on a high # to freeze like I like. But it does a good job of freezing. It was damaged when received. I plugged it in and wait to see how in would work. Seems to be no damage the the operation of the freezer so I kept it. I have had it about two weeks. Still working well. I am pleased with my purchase so far. It anything changes I will update the review.

Midea freezer – So far it’s a great little freezer. I ordered a temp gauge to keep inside it. I have it in a garage. Plugged it in on coldest setting, after a day, it was at -20 f. I want to get it adjusted to 0 f. Temp control is on the back, so you will have to get to the back of it for initial setup. As expected, some surfaces are starting to frost up after 1 month running. Unit came with a small ice scraper, which I taped to the side of the unit, and I will try to use regularly, to prevent buildup.

Great little freezer – Can I just say the box it was shipped in was genius. Cut the plastic strips, open the top and take out the Styrofoam inside and the box simply pulls up and viola there is the freezer. It was so simple and easy to keep the packaging contained for the trash. I love it, I have a side by side fridge and the freezer is my nemesis. Never any room and things get lost. I hemmed and hawed before buying, but am glad I did. I would recommend for small spaces and I liked this style better than a deep freeze…..thought it would be the same problem lost items….and I’m short!

MIDEA UPRIGHT FREEZER PERFECT FOR FOR EMPTY NESTER’S AND PANDEMICS. – Bought this freezer 4 months ago and waited until now to give a review. Freezer arrived undamaged and in perfect running condition. Wanted a small freezer since our boys are now married and on their own. But this freezer provides the space for extra food in case they want to drop by with their families. Started at level 3 on cold setting but eventually went to level 2. It is full and temp is a constant 0 degrees with very little frost concentration. Thought we would need a dedicated outlet for it but we put it in our utility room next our washing machine and plugged it into the same outlet as the washer. No problems with operation or power draw for either appliance. No blinking lights when washer operating etc. However, temperature selector is at the rear of freezer which is no problem for us but for someone that has a tight space maybe? Ours is full, at level 2 and 0 degrees constantly. No need to change temp setting. We love this freezer and hope it lasts a long time. It has really come in handy during this Pandemic. Less trips to the grocery store. We highly recommend this product and manufacturer.
