Makes the best ice (for those who like to chew ice). Unfortunately the machine breaks a lot. – We are a family of 6, with two adults and four kids under age of eight.

Kind of noisy but does its job well – I’ve had this running almost non stop for nearly two months. I’ve drained it twice when I went out of town but other than that it runs like a top 24-7. It is a little noisy at times but I’d imagine the same from other units. Keep your expectations realistic – these aren’t refrigerated so cubes will melt, stick together, form a block if you place them in your freezer, etc. I either take ice directly from the ice maker or dump the bin in to a silicone box I found for storing compostables. With the silicone box I can just smack it against the counter a few times after the wet ice cubes have stuck together and it’s good to go until empty.

Awesome! – After having to replace the ice maker in my refrigerator three times and now the manufacturer stop making them I decided to purchase this ice maker. Let me tell you it was the best decision I made. It makes lots of ice with one fill, it lets you know when the ice basket is full and when to add more water. The only noise you will hear is when the ice is falling in the ice basket. I give this item 10 stars❤❤

Great Machine! FAST, FAST and makes ice great for eating. – A couple of years ago there was a fundraiser for a new ice machine that makes chew-able ice…I almost spent $500 then but thankfully had to sense to wait. Two days ago I went in search of that machine and went all the way through the checkout process and decided that was just crazy. I can buy A LOT of “good ice” from Quik-Trip for that much money. But, I still needed an ice maker for ice so I came to Amazon and decided to give this one a try. OH HAPPY DAY!!! It makes great “good ice”! No, it isn’t the same shape but it is still soft and chew-able. AND, I had ice within 10 minutes of plugging it in! Very, very, happy.

Great while it works – We used this in our camper on weekends. Stored properly when not in use. Towards the end of last fall the fan started getting louder. It worked for 1 month this summer and now does not freeze the water. Wish we could have gotten more than one camping season out of it.

It’s Ok – The ice melts really quickly. I thought that I would be able to just leave it going and get ice as needed. It gets really melted if I leave it in the ice maker. I have to put it in a tub in the freezer to store up the ice it makes. That clumps up a bit no matter what since the ice isn’t very solid. I wouldn’t recommend this model.
