Great Value – Great little machine. I use it almost every day for low moisture carpet encapsulation. Very smooth. Not to heavy to bring up stairs in my residential accounts. Highly recommend.

Small but aggressive floor machine – This is a small buffer with heavy duty features. It has a cast iron apron that adds weight to the machine, making it easier to control and increasing its effectiveness. The handle adjustment is ultra rugged and ergonomic. I haven’t been able to wrap the cord and have it stay on during transport but that is a small drawback. I use the machine to abrade existing polyurethane floor surfaces for recoating. We have other larger machines for prepping raw wood but for refurbishing existing finishes this machine works well.

Awesome Floor Machine – Glad I went with the 13″ and not the 17″ model. This machine runs fairly quite, has great power and is built like a tank. Everything about this puppy is made durable. Initially the pad driver did not arrive with the machine, as it seems it was lost in transit. After reaching out to the seller they immediately sent out a replacement pad driver within a couple of days. I paired this machine up with the 13″ Diamond Pads from Bonastre and I gotta say my Travertine floors have never looked this good. The polish and shine I achieved was phenomenal. Sure the 17″ or greater machines would have made quicker work of the open floors areas, but the ability to get this machine into the tight areas was more important for me, and meant less time on my knees with the 5″ rotary trying to get into all the narrow areas. Just cause its 13″ don’t think for one second this machine won’t wear you out. It has good power and will easily overtake you if your not careful, but once you get the hang of it, it is fairly easy to maneuver around. If your looking for a fairly small machine that is of commercial quality, then look no further and get this one. You won’t regret it. Initially before buying this 13″ Koblenz I tried using an Oreck Orbiter that I had laying around for years, and their was no comparison. The Oreck just didn’t have the power or weight of the Koblenz. Not only that but the pad driver on the Oreck ended up chewing my pads to shreds because it just would grip them good.

I prefer this 13 inch 175 over the 17 inch – I like it because it is a 13 inch vs. 17 inch unit, which means, in this case, the weight is cut in half. At about 60 lbs, it is easier to work with in a home for residential carpet, tile, and wood floors. Also, in a couple of days, using it on commercial VCT strip and wax, about 3600 square foot. A fellow carpet cleaner borrowed it to do 15 inch bonnet encap at a business, and he said it worked well (So the pad driver that comes with it is raised enough to use larger pads or bonnets). If you are in the market for a lighter weight 175, at 3.4 horse power, you have a powerful combo with this unit. I hope this helps. Pat
