Easy install – Just received and finished the install. So far everything is great. On high it is a little louder than I would like but if you want that much power, you have to deal with the noise. Gave 4 stars only because I had to unhook writing to switch and lights to get the trim plate off

Sleek, effective, easy to clean – if sometimes loud – I have had this insert for about a year and a half now. It’s terrific. Love its three power choices for various scenarios. The Q setting is all I need most of the time. If oil is smoking in a pan, I’ll go to L. If something has dropped in the oven and is producing lots of smoke as it burns off, I use H. Yes, the L and H are uncomfortably loud – but extremely effective for the purpose, and you don’t need that most of the time. It wipes clean nicely, and the baffles are easy to remove and are top-rack dishwasher safe. The lights appear to match my under-cabinet lighting and are not bluish as another reviewer said. See my photo and video. I can’t speak to the installation, as it was done as part of a kitchen reno by a work crew.

Works Like a Dream – There weren’t many reviews when I bought this Kobe range hood last year so I was nervous. I shouldn’t have been. I use mine almost daily and it does a terrific job. It is sleek enough to use with top-of-the-line electric stainless appliances (I have a Verona), and I can’t say enough good things about it. Similar vent hoods were hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars more. Don’t waste that money!

Very Nice – Super fan performance and low noise level. The only shortcoming is that the LED lamps only come in bright white color temperature. All of my lighting is soft white (2700-3000K) color temperature. I was able to order soft white lighting modules from Kobe, but at a premium ($70 extra)

Love my new vent hood – Love my new vent hood! I used this to replace our existing microhood 400 cfm which is external exhaust. No issues and simple. It does the job and It is very powerful! it also fit with my existing 15 x 30 cabinet. I did ask carpenter to make me a box hood cover for aesthetics. But could have fit my exising cabinet. A little loud but i compare the sone rating with other under cabinet vent hood

I like it but it’s not for everybody – I actually really love this insert but it’s not for everybody. You have to do some tweaking to get the lighting right. My hood came with the flickering light issue and the blue colored bulbs. I pulled out the LED power supply and replaced it with a better (purchased separately) power supply and the correct colored bulbs. The power supply is easy to access even when the insert is installed. I just cut a few wires, pulled it out and spliced in a new one. The bulbs were a bit trickier because you have to solder and find the right sized housing.

It looks fantastic and the lighting is very good – We used this built in for our custom designed range. It looks fantastic and the lighting is very good! The exhaust fan works very well We cook a lot of stir fry and seared items, and the exhaust captures the smoke very well.
