Vacuum gets clogged without it – Dyson did me dirty and didn’t have the seal on in the right place when I purchased a v10, so I ended up taking it off and losing it. After years of issues with my vacuum, I realized this seal was essential to the function of the vacuum, and bought this replacement. Haven’t had issues since. Seal works great, but it is expensive for what it is. Make sure it’s attached to the v10 dust cap and not the body of the Dyson!! Easy mistake as apparently Dyson themselves don’t know.

Good quality – The gasket works very well, all dimensions are as in the original. The material from which it is made looks very good, I can’t say anything about its durability. Because I use it too short, if it breaks I will write about it.
