Cooktop for Studio Apartment – We bought this cooktop for a garage apartment that we recently built. We installed it on an 18″ cabinet and the top drawer still operates with cooktop installed. Runs on a 120v 20a circuit. Like most countertop cooktops, came ready to be hardwired.

Awesome stove top – Received my cooktop for a studio apartment above my garage. Packaged very well and looks great. Installed and tested with a pot of water to boil which only took 8 or so minutes to bring to a full boil. Love the clean look and my tenant was very impressed with the ease of operation and how fast it heats as well as the look. I was hesitant to buy the 120v version but after testing I will be purchasing another one for my basement kitchenette. main requirement is a 20 amp circuit with 12 gauge wire.

great compact, modern, cooktop (pictures) – Great compact cooktop that has a modern and stylish look. This is a 2 burner cooktop in black. The surface has a glass surface but it comes with specific cleaning instruction and a cleaning product so that you don’t damage/scratch the surface. Esthetically this thing is very attractive. the top is flat and shiny. The knobs are not obtrusive and it just looks like it belongs alongside all your other modern appliances. Each knob has a white line that directs to which burner you are turning on and this also adds to the modern look/design. There are three lights in between the knobs. 2 of the lights indicate when each burner is “on” the third light indicates when the surface is still hot. This is a great feature that warns you that although the burners are “off” the surface of the cooktop is still hot and you should still be careful. Great feature. The way that this cooktop works is that it has the same electric rings but just underneath the modern glass top. It heats up quickly and I can boil water in just a few minutes. See pictures.

The manufacture warranty – Purchased this cook top along with an extended warranty from Amazon. One of the burners stopped working 2 1/2 years later. since it was still under manufacture warranty I contacted the company for a replacement, what a nightmare! Their rep was rude! She had me check my breaker box, take pictures and accused me of Not having the cook top wired proper ( it was wired by a licensed electrician) ! I assured her that it was wired proper however I couldn’t crawl into my wall to be positive but Im thinking that it has worked fine for 21/2 years with no problems, so it must not be a electrical install issue. She told me she will send out a replacement that day when it arrives I must send the non working one to her, but she has to have my credit card #, I asked why and she said to make sure that I send the non working one to them, and if I didn’t send the non working one back they would bill me for the new one they sent and they would only bill my credit card if I didn’t send the nonworking one back, standard practice she said. So I thought this was strange and was hesitant but needed to have my cook top so I gave her my credit card number with all intentions of sending them the non working one. Next she tells me she is emailing me a form to fill out for the warranty and that they need this form filled out before they send the replacement…. On the form it states that I WILL indeed be charged (my credit card) when they receive my nonworking cook top and find it malfunctioned due to my fault (faulty wiring), now here is the problem that I have with that… who in that company determines this? I dont know if they are even qualified to determine what went wrong with it and how do I know if they blame me for the nonworking cook top as something I did wrong just to keep from honoring the warranty and by the way they will charge my credit card $400.00 plus shpping! Amazon offers this item for $300.00 and they ship free. I told her that I was going to contact Amazon before I sign anything and see what they say and if the extended warranty that I purchased from Amazon would get me a new cook top replacement. So when I called Amazon and explained the whole mess , Amazon didn’t hesitate to honor the extended warranty that I purchased from them when I first bought the cook top and sent me out a replacement no charge immediately! Thank You Amazon your the best! In the future I will never buy from the company (Kenyon) that manufactures this product due to their shaddyness concerns and the anguish that I went through with them honoring the warranty of this product. I have also read other reviews since and found people have had this happen with this model of cook top with one of the burners going out . I would not recommend Kenyon.
