Hauslane R100 is the way to go. – Just recently renovated our kitchen. We came across the Hauslane brand and were surprised with their selection of range hoods. We decided to order the R100. The R100 allowed us to install it in our cabinet creating a clean new look. Love the powerful suction and the quality of materials.

Seems loud but very efficient – I am happy with this fan except it seems much louder than the one I had, also the on of etc buttons should be reversed, light should be first

Power but noisy – Powetful but Very noisy! I Mitigated somewhat by applying a gasket between the removable baffle and the cover, but still resonates in addition fan noise. Cover attaches to body by only two screws (one each on the long ends). Adding two more screws, one each at mid point of long sides will reduce resonance , and I wonder why no holes are provided so I have drill thru the stainless steel .

Good but loud – The range hood is good and can move air well. I wish I had known how loud it was going to be. I was unable to hear how loud it was going to be until it was installed and completely closed off. If I would’ve been able to test it before hand I probably would have sent it back. The low setting sounds like a jet liner coming through my kitchen.

Small hood but perfect size for us! – We moved the microwave from above the range to the island. We needed a specific hood size for our small space. This fits perfectly! I like the toggle buttons. The only thing is that the button for the light is the furthest back and I am short! This is the feature I use most often amd it’s hard for me to reach. I also like how it is dishwasher safe and the lights are LED.

Great hood! Documentation could use a little work. – I was building new kitchen cabinets in my loft apartment, and midway through the project realized I could put a hood into the bottom of one of the cabinets. I am so, so damn grateful for having this brain spark, it’s been a far more radical shift in the kitchen than the cabinets themselves. No more greazy haze! No more fire alarms! Even the light over the oven makes cooking better! I can’t compare this to other hoods but it seems fantastic.

Exactly what I wanted – Searched for an exhaust fan that would be strong enough, yet take up as little space as possible. Also wanted lighting in it that had replaceable bulbs that were easily available. This fit the bill. It does take up cabinet space, but I didn’t want a hood sticking out to bump my head on every time I cooked. My husband had a friend helping with installation, and our stove had been pulled out of it’s spot to make things easier. It took a couple hours to install, due to the fact that the hole for the vent pipe needed cut and pipe installed. Thank goodness the stove was out of the way. Trying to do all of that would have been difficult otherwise. The suction is great, even on low which is the setting I use most. The light is also good. It is loud, even on low, but no worse than other events. The stainless steel looks nice but the unit is really not very noticeable at all unless you are at the stove. I’m very pleased with this purchase.
