Range hood – This is very loud. We do not use as much because of how loud it is.

Can’t find grease & odor filters – I bought this to use as ductless range hood in my newly remodeled kitchen. I have not been able to find grease & odor filters to fit it. When my city inspector came it didn’t pass the inspection b/c the inside, where the electrical cord is located, is greasy and it’s a fire hazard. I was instructed by the city inspector to instal a 90 degree metal duct.

pretty but lights did not work – this is a great product but the lights don’t both work, one side always goes on but the other is not reliable. I have contacted Huslane and keep getting the run around. At first they were great, sent me 1 new lights but still they don’t work. I am trying to work with the company but they really need to send somebody to service this for free. I would not recommend this product at this time.

Unit had some damage to it. – Sleeve was damaged. Thankfully I had to order the longer sleeve separately because I have a higher ceiling otherwise it would have gone back. Also, very difficult to remove the plastic coating protecting the sleeves. Unit itself works well so far.

Buyer Beware – Customer Service is Non Existent – Range hood is fine, but the seller Hauslane is not. I received an obviously returned unit (missing screws, missing anchors, parts partially installed already, small dents). When I contacted Hauslane, they told me “too bad” and just file a return with Amazon and order a new one. I’m guessing they knew it is a pain to return something so big, so they were banking I would not return it because of that. They guessed right, I was not going to return the unit because it is such a hassle. In addition, my old range hood was already torn out and I needed to cook. Instead, I had to go to the hardware store and get everything I needed.

It is very nice. – It is not quiet, but a good fan. We placed dampers to reduce the noise. Also, the exhaust is 6 inches. Do not reduce to 4 inches!

Strong blower – This range hood is so elegant. My wife loved it SOOO MUCH. The black glass panel creates a nice contrast against my white cabinets. The single blower is very strong and it took out all smoke and smell for us.

Elegant solution for a non-vented hood – Absolutely love this product. We are doing a major kitchen remodel and were looking for an elegant non-vented hood that would fit in our kitchen and this one is perfect. It was very easy to install with a little lifting help from a friend and works very well for our needs. The lowest 2 speeds are more than adequate most of the time and the noise level is low. The 2 higher speeds are noisier but not bad, especially in comparison to our old hood (which was also non vented). This one has charcoal filters that can be changed every few months if you do heavy cooking and easy to remove grates that can be easily removed and washed in the dishwasher. Also love the LED lights, makes it easier to see what you’re cooking. The 60 second timer is also great if you want to walk away from the stove but leave the hood blower on for a while longer. Overall a very good product that is a very good value. The guys at Hauslane too are very responsive and terrific to work with…very professional and good communicators with regards to questions. Overall a very positive experience with them.
