Why didn’t I look at these years ago. – Installed under our washer and dryer, front load. I just could not justify the cost of the “stands” and the height would have caused an issue with cabinets hung over the washer and dryer. After 6 years of bending over, I finally decided I would need to do something. My inclination was to construct something to raise them, 3 to 5 inches. In looking for options on the internet I ran across these and for the cost/time I decided it was just “too good to be true”. So being a skeptic, I purchased one, for minimal increase in cost I purchased the version with wheels and 8 legs (maybe overkill, but better safe than sorry). After installing, I purchased the 2nd, as I was so pleased with how the first one was doing. Our washer and dryer are installed in a tight space, so while I might have been able to adjust one, I would not have been able to reach the other. However, I adjusted the front legs and left the back on the wheels. So far, they both have been stable and the height is perfect. It really makes a big difference in using and not having to bend over so far. Added bonus of being able to move them now when I need too.

Not good for 27″ wide appliances. – The base is not wide enough for 27″ washers or dryers, just the tip of the steel poles will fit into the corner pieces and will eventually get bent with the movement. Had to get four 1×1″ stainless steel poles (25.5″ long each) to be able to assemble the base sturdy enough for my washer / dryer.

A Perfect Stand If It Were Wider – I can’t give this item more stars because this item didn’t serve the purpose it was purchased for. I bought it for my 87 year old Mother’s dryer. The description stated that it would fit most standard appliances but it wasn’t wide enough. Every time she attempted to move the dryer the stand would come apart. I contacted the retailer and he agreed to accept a return and to pay for shipping. However she wasn’t able to remove the dryer from the stand and didn’t have help at the time; so she decided to keep it. The dryer remains precariously on the stand and it will remain in one spot. A long explanation to say the stand may not be wide enough, so be sure to measure your appliance before purchasing. And remember the company offers great customer service.

Product design needs fine tuning – This is a much needed product for those of us with washers and dryers in tight spaces that need to be easily pulled out for repairs, cleaning, etc. The product is very easy to assemble, sturdy, and has worked well ( so far ) once in place. Unfortunately it is so low to the ground that it is impossible to lock the rear wheels once rolled into a tight spot. What’s the point of putting the washer and dryer on a wheeled stand if you can’t access the locks once slid into place? If I had lots of room all around I wouldn’t have needed the wheeled stand to begin with. I finally had to settle on just locking the front wheels. With all the vibration associated with a washer and dryer I’m not sure how this will work out long term. Not a great solution.

Sturdy enough for a small fridge but NOT for a washer or dryer – I bought the cheapest option, “new 4 double Wheels and 8 Feet”. I assembled the stand in less than ten minutes without having to refer to instructions. The stand is sturdy and does not bend when my Costway 3.2 cubic-feet mini-fridge + freezer is stacked atop of it. However, I can see why other reviews complained that this stand is not study enough for a clothes washer; a clothes washer is much heavier than a mini-fridge, and a washer has the added weights of laundry and water when it is in use. I would recommend it for a mini-fridge or compact fridge, but not for a clothes washer or dryer.
