Great freezer for garage – This was just what we wanted to add some extra freezer space without upgrading our kitchen side-by-side. Good capacity, freezes really quickly, easy to find things. My wife likes to bake, so now we have space for pies, cookies, cupcakes – so much better then buying from the store.

Spacious freezer – quality made – This is a great freezer. It replaced a 20 year old 8.5 cubic foot model that was still working fine but I got tired of defrosting it all the time.

Good value – I wanted to wait for a bit before I reviewed the freezer. I chose this one because of the cu ft and price. I didn’t realize it could be used as a fridge too until going over the instructions. The temperature is Celsius for freezer and Fahrenheit for refridgerator. I wanted it as a large freezer and it hasn’t really gone below 16 degrees. There was little ice formation, but it melted. It makes very little noise. Nothing to disturb you during a call or movie. It is much quieter than an air conditioner. Also I have no dents, dings, scrapes, misalignment or missing parts. Amazon delivery brought it in my kitchen which is through my back door where majority of my deliveries come. I wish it was in black. I recommend it.

Immediate Response from customer service – Purchased thru Amazon. Despite supposedly needing to be signed for, it was left on my porch. It was damaged, but since it’s more cosmetic. located in the back, and doesn’t affect performance, I’ll not make a stink about it. The “manual” if you can call it that, is printed in such a tiny font that I had to take pics of it and blow it up to read it….also there was no warranty card with it. The gasket at the top of the door doesn’t seal properly which is causing a frost build up inside the door, (this is a frost free freezer). Since I really like the size of this freezer I decided to call their customer service dept. to see if they’d send a replacement gasket because I really don’t want to return it. To my delight, they are sending a technician out to repair it!! I love when that happens. The unit has a one year warranty so I’m pleased with the response. I’ve read negative reviews posted in 2021 about their C.S., so I feel like they’ve improved on that, based on my personal experience.

good investment – i have a side by side refrigerator with ice maker there was no room for a good supply so i purchased the freezer and had amazon personel deliver and put in the house they wer very friendly and careful with it ….I’ve had it for a few months now and love it theres plenty of room for frozen items and have had no problems

nice looking / needs a little tlc in a couple of areas – I’ve tried for months to get this particular Freezer in a retro look. I just plugged in today and it seems to be cooling as it should. I was disappointed that the handle is actually plastic and not metal, and one of the screws won’t fit, so I’ve reached out to Galanz for a new set. and they have replied. Also the little cover of the digital controls is not secured well, so will probably just glue it again… Will review further when I’ve had it longer.

Such good door seal that you learn patience to re-open it – I have given this a 5 rating as I know it is fabulous as a fridge, and I have been using it since December of 2021. My only issue, which is not an issue to complain about is that the door seal is soooo ruddy good that I laugh and say I am going to get a hernia trying to open the door if I try to do this in quick succession. So patience is needed for the fridge to bring itself up to correct temperature before you can re-open it again (it doesn’t take too long and I have learned to feel the grip by slipping my finger along the door seal and you can actually feel the gap widen slightly when it is ready to open).
