So far so good – I have only had the cooktop for a few months and this is my first gas cooktop. So far, it is meeting my expectations. It cooks much faster than my last cooktop, and any meats I cook are more moist and tender. The middle burner takes significantly longer to light than the other burners (don’t know if that’s normal or not). Also, when it’s turned to low, no flame is visible, so it is possible for that burner to be on and to not know. There are spots developing around the burners that I cannot remove. I even used the cleaner they sent and it didn’t work. I don’t know if that’s normal just because of the heat or not. I have seen cleaning it with baking soda and vinegar works (lemons didn’t get it cleaned!). The griddle that comes with it is nice and heavy, good construction. Just beware of any greasy foods. It’s not very deep and cooking greasy foods can cause a spill and fire! I have used it to cook some veggies and it worked really well. It does need to be oiled and seasoned. Out of the box, it is NOT non-stick. I have noticed a random, sporadic clicking sound after I cook. I don’t know if that normal, but it usually stops after a few minutes (maybe because it’s cooling down?). The top grates are heavy, good construction. They are easy to remove and clean. The whole cooktop is easy to clean, so that’s nice. Again, there’s nothing that alarms me, or makes me think something is wrong with the cooktop, it’s just different. Overall, I am enjoying it and absolutely do not regret my purchase.

Very impressed – Very much an initial review but I’m very impressed with entire process so far. Well packaged, shipped and arrived quickly, factory packaging very well done. I was replacing a 15 year old GE Profile 30” gas cooktop with tempered glass top that got accidentally broken. This proved to be as simple a replacement as one could hope for with granite pre-existing cut out.

My wife’s Mother’s Day gift. – UPDATE: 5-31-21: I used Turtle Wax, hard finish on the SS surface, and the top wipes totally clean with a damp towel. And it was quite splattered from my heavy frying today and yesterday. ORIGINAL: Very easy to install in the existing 30″ spot. Just the gas and electric plug. It is pretty heavy, 30 pounds by itself. The two outer grates are 8 pounds ea.. The middle is 8.75 pounds, and the griddle is 11 pounds. The flames are way larger and hotter than the old GE Profile. The grates are like you’d find in a diner. I needed to go buy pipe joint compound for gas pipes (be sure you read the label) and used about a teaspoon, and then back for the adapter from the regulator to the gas line. $4.58. I could not break loose the old one, 23 yrs old, no matter how hard I tried. Not the fault of the Frigidaire. I gave 3 stars for Easy To Clean because she hasn’t cleaned it yet, and the grates will be too heavy for her to handle, at age 81. I’d advise to stay with the heavy ones, as bouncing a heavy kettle on a thiner material could break them, as some other reviewers of lower priced ones experienced. Also thinner ones on display at the store were broken while on the stove! I love it already, and recommend it. NOTE: always love to see the price drop the day after you receive the stove! UPDATE: 5-14-21 I cooked 2, 7 oz. hamburgers in a 12″ cast iron on the center, and they crusted like from a gourmet restaurant. Could not crust at all on the old stove. Also, did french fries in half the time on the right front burner, done perfectly! Finally, the entire top was splattered with grease, and it cleaned right off with paper towels.
