Good product, bad taste, doesnt produce as much as it says – Not a bad product, if your a single person using it. I did notice a plastic like taste . Dont get me wrong, it makes ice.. just not nearly as much as it says it can. Because of the way its made, often times the ice will fall, in a line so it triggers the sensor that its full. It barely kept up with me as a single user, when the others in the house were using it , there just was not enough ice. I love the concept with the dispensers, that was awesome. I just wish it could have kept up and that it would have produced as much as it claimed. I had it hooked up to a water line and that worked great. Just not worth 500, if it priced closed to 199, i would have kept it. With the issues and the steep price, this was returned.

I thought that I had fixed it by putting a cup under but the force of the ice hitting eventually tipped the whole cup onto the floor. While checking on the ice I accidentally bumped the touch screen and had an I Love Lucy scene as it started throwing out crushed ice faster then I could jam a cup under there. If what you really want is to slowly water your floor – this is the machine for you!

I love that it dispenses! – I installed this in a cabinet under my bar sink and plumbed it in to the water line for a constant supply of bar ice. Works very well. The only thing I could want from it would be to put it on a timer so it didn’t run 24×7. When you power it on, you need to press a ‘start’ button on the panel for it to begin making ice. Aside from that, it’s a great solution.

The reviews were right – this thing is junk. – I’m pretty good at adapting and modifying equipment that has a few faults, so I figured I’d give this a shot and then re-configure it to work out the kinks. I also thought I’d be clever and buy the extended warranty so that it would serve me for at least 5 years. Instead, I ended up returning it after less than a month because it’s just a terrible design overall.

I was so excited to get this and its just ok for us. – Update: stopped working just over 1 yr. – original: This is a tough review as I wanted to love it. The ice it makes is great. Hooking it up to water is easy and very convenient. It makes a fine shaved ice very tiny not quite nuggets and both small and large bullet cubes. The unit also dispenses water. It’s a great size and looks good. Here are the cons for us 1) it doesn’t make enough ice for two people all day. You would have to turn it on move the ice to the freezer and so on throughout the day. It’s not made to stay on. So it makes ice you get a large drink vessel full and any remaining ice sits in the unit and melts so when you are ready for more its melted into a clump. So it wont drop down to be shaved nor dispense as the bullets. It will recycle itself once melted but its inevitably not ready for you when you need it and a fresh batch is not enough for two large water bottles. Not quite what we wanted. The bigger con is the taste. It has a strong plastic taste. I’ve been waiting for it to go away and it’s been months. The taste of plastic wont go away and its strong. I can’t use it myself anymore. The hubby has no tastebuds so it doesn’t bug him and it works ok for one person. Too late to return yet I would not have paid this much again for the capacity. Would not have bought it in hindsight. For me, it doesn’t live up to expectations. Lots of reservoirs and nooks to keep clean too or it will get gross. Hate to write bad reviews however this is not a great machine for the price.
