Fast producer but loud noises after 6 months, btwn cleanings.. – The machine gives really loud metal grinding noises at times between cleaning. (Woke me from sleep in the downstairs kitchen). Produces ice fast. But be sure to clean monthly at minimum; for best results of particle-free water in the system, clean weekly with vinegar

Don’t waste your money – I bought this item for a Christmas present for my sister. It broke after less than a year. However, the company would not honor the warranty because I bought it more than 365 days ago, although I gave it to her for Christmas.

Absolute worst Ice Maker and Horrendous Support STAY AWAY – STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS MACHINE or Ones like this from CURTIS ( I would loop in GE Opal too since the machine fails so often)

Wish I could replace! – First of all, we absolutely love the ice that this machine produces. The noise level from the very beginning was a lot louder than we expected and the height makes it very difficult to fit under some counters. We’ve only had the machine for 10 months and the fan and motor has gotten so loud that it seems dangerous. I thought perhaps it was something to do with cleanliness so I remove the guard only to find that the internal components were leaking and causing corrosion around the mechanical and electrical. Almost to the extent of what you would see on battery terminals or saltwater corrosion. It’s almost impossible to get in touch with customer service because even with all these issues we did love the machine and would like to purchase another but I just feel that 10 months of use doesn’t constitute the price. I’m sceptical to upgrade to the newer unit at the higher price if it’s going to be a continued issue!
