Looks great but a little noisy – Looks great and seems to work great but it does make a pretty good buzzing noise when it is on. Make sure you have the right kinds of pans. Not one of my current pots or pans would work and had to replace all of them. Heats fast and even. Would buy again but the noise could be better.

We had to open it up to realign the magnets before installing – We ordered 3 of these. The first never arrived because it was damaged, the second we installed and found the middle magnet was not even close to where the rings were. The third one was in worse shape but rather than return another one we opened it up and put the magnets for all the burners back where they belonged as all the rubber keepers were jostled out of position. The construction of these units leave a lot to be desired.

Works well — but loud – The stove was very easy to install, and as it’s my first induction stove there’s a lot I love (fast cooking! easy control!) and am still getting used to (touch controls, beeps when you remove a pan). My only real complaint is how loud it is — theres a loud mechanical fan sound that was very unexpected and doesn’t sound like any stove I’ve ever used. It’s not a deal breaker but I’d probably research other models more closely to compare noise if I was shopping again.

Be careful before installation! – I have received this cooktop only after two days of ordering it even though I am not a prime member. So that was good. The bad part comes next though. As some reviewers cautioned, I opened the glass top to make sure the coils are in their proper places. To my dismay, all 5 coils were dislocated because of the rubber grommets that are suppose to hold them in place were dislodged from where they are suppose to be. Some 9~10 rubber grommers fell out of their places and they all over the place inside the unit. So I carefully reattached the grommets to their proper seating holes and put the coils back to their intended positions by putting the grommets back on their designated metal studs. ( Sorry, I have not taken any pictuers although I should have. ). I can’t believe that the manufacturer did not put any kind of secrews or other means to firmly secure the coils. I hope this poor design is not an indication of the overall design and build quality of the entire unit. Once this grommet problem was rectified, it was very easy to put the glass top back on and the rest of the installation was easy and straightforward. When I turned it on, the unit worked flawlessly as it should. I just hope that this cooktop will give me many years of trouble free service. I would like to send a message to Frigidaire though.. Please fix this grommet problem right away. It’s a shame for your company reputation that this kind of poor design can make its way to the final product.

Got our money’s worth! – I read the reviews carefully and knew what I was getting. It arrived in its single-layer cardboard box that was really beat up. Although the styrofoam packing was cracked there was no visible damage to the ceramic glass cooktop or metal housing below. Before installing I tested the burners and found they all worked but had moved, so I detached the top and put them back in place, easy and quick – self-explanatory so I really didn’t need to watch the YouTube video. Install was easy, looks very nice. We’ve been using it for a week now, including canning salsa and tomatoes this weekend and it works great. I got the extended service plan with it so I’m happy as can be.
