Great ice maker – I am very happy with this ice maker. I didn’t want finger ice cubes as they seem to melt quicker. This machine makes good size, solid square cubes. It makes them pretty quick too. We make the ice and then transfer to a tray that is in the freezer; it does not hold the ice in a frozen state so do not buy if that is what you are looking for. I saw some negative reviews from people that complained about the ice melting once it is made but you need to transfer to your freezer. We make ice once a week to fill up the tray and it lasts. We use quite a lot of ice too.

I recommend using distilled water for clear ice and purity, and to avoid mineral deposits, and drain it when not in use to avoid it becoming a breeding ground for mold/mildew. After about 5 months, we found a large puddle of water on our kitchen floor. The unit had a leak. We found the source of the leak to be a broken tube. I reached out to customer service with pictures of the tube and mold inside the unit. They were very quick to ship out a new unit to us free of charge. We received the new unit within 4 days. We cleaned this unit regularly, however we will be cleaning it more as to avoid the mold in the tubes inside the unit, which you cant see unless you take the unit apart. I recommend this ice maker as it is super fast at making ice and for the customer service.
