Hot Surface indicator – An “H” will appear in the surface cooking area display let you know when elements are hot to the touch with just a glance. Pan size sensor heats the element to the size of your cookware and turns off when no pan is present for safety and more efficient cooking. With induction cooking, heat is generated directly in the cookware, so the cooktop stays cooler to the touch, with child control lock feature prevents unintended activation for added safety.

Fantastic! – I am so happy with this induction cook top. I’ve only had a chance to use it 4 times, but it heats so much more quickly than my old coils and without the loss of heat to the room like when using gas. And in Texas, that’s a big deal when cooking in summer time. I was not quite sure how happy I would be using induction and I did have to get an entire new set of pots and pans, but that investment is well worth the ease of using this item.

Works well but with frustrating issues – The unit works well as an induction stove top but i would actually suggest if you can to but a more expensive unit from a better known provider. Why is that? there are three niggles with how this operates.

Noisy – Inductions do make a noise and specific pots help but it’s pretty loud. Came damaged. Had to get another. The glass isn’t as scratch resistant as it should be. I’m using silicon mattes to protect it now. The painted design isn’t consistent. The 1st one I got I could hardly see the painted buttons etc. Works great for the price.
