      Very good value for a gas-on-glass cooktop – This replaces our 12-year-old Maytag gas cooktop. Its hard to find an attractive, black, glass cooktop for under $1000 these days, and then one that can drop into an existing hole or works with propane. And, this unit has 5 burners whereas our old one only had 4, including a monster burner for boiling water quickly. The unit appears to be pretty well-designed but only time will tell how well it will hold up.

      EASY TO CONVERT – MY RV HAD TWO GRILLS. ONE ON SIDE MONUT AND ONE IN OUTDOOR KITCHEN. DECIDED TO CHANGE OUTDOOR KITCHEN GRILL TO STOVETOP. REMOVED OLD GRILL, CUT HOLE TO CORRECT SIZE AND MOUNTED DOWN. WORKS GREAT. CONVERTING FROM NATURAL GAS TO PROPANE WAS AS EASY AS UNSCREWING OLD JETS AND INSTALLING NEW ONES WHICH CAME WITH THE UNIT. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS STOVETOP TO ANYONE.

      There are no Mounting brackets – This is a nice cook top however it has no mounting brackets the cook top simply rests in the cut out. This would be ok for a normal installation however for an RV or boat it is important for the cook top to be secured.

      Really nice stove top at an excellent price! – We needed a new stove top and boy are they expensive, and we even live close to Whirlpool discount stores- but everything was $500+ and nothing as nice as this one. I was not sure after reading some of the reviews, but my husband is a builder and said he could make it work and he did. I am so happy with my new stove top and that it is tempered glass instead of stainless steel like my older one. It is much easier to clean, there is no area for food to fall through and accumulate and the burner configuration is perfect for my canning needs.

      Need assistance on installation, there seems to be small gas leak – It took a while, but customer service was able to help and identify possible gas leak. We checked and re-tighten one of the fitting as suggested by customer service and the oder/leak was gone and all ok now. Overall, love the unit how it looks and works, happy everything worked out and we have a beautiful stove!

      Would buy again! – After being a smooth top electric user for over 15 yrs now, cleaning isn’t as easy of course! I’m happy with the way it looks, am enjoying using a gas cooktop again and only have one complaint. They should get rid of the decal that misleads you on how to adjust the cooking level. In actuality, you need to turn the dial back towards the direction of Off to lower it from the highest setting. This is why many people complain there is hardly any difference between high & low. The cooktop looks beautiful, cooks great and is definitely worth the bargain price I bought it for!

Read on… – I did find that if I want to turn the burner down to a low flame, I had to turn the control knob as though turning it to the off position watching the flame until reaching the desired heat range. So there is a work around for the problem but you shouldn’t have to do that. The gas control valves need to give more control for lower cooking temp. All burners have the same issue as described.
