Disappointed in ice maker – Disappointed in a few things. 1st to add a water bottle it would not take a 3 gal bottle. It would’nt take much to make it accomidate a larger jug swe don’t have to transfer water from.another source. That is the main feature we bought it foor.

Amazing counter top ice marker – this thing is the best ice marker I have come across for counter top use, built well and produces great ice, the ice that this unit makes is actually clear ice, that’s just a plus for being able to make clear ice, the options that it gives you for thickness of ice is on the money,

Ease of use – Being a house full of ice coffee drinkers and nightly cocktails it is inevitable that we run out of ice two or more times a week. No longer the ezcozy to the rescue. Keeps the whole family in ice cubes and happy. Good job, great price and thanks for keeping us on ice

Excellent, but… – I love this ice maker except for two things. 1. When the ice is made it stays in a sheet. It does not break apart! I bought it to get ice cube, not ice sheets. 2. When i put the jug of water on the top it takes all the water from the jug and places it in the ice cube storage area, so I have ice cubes, sorry ice sheets falling into a water well. Everything else is great. It makes an ample amount of ice and seems easy to care for. Overall, if you can handle those 2 things, I recommend.

Great for Post Op – I bought this planning on shoulder surgery and the need for constant ice bags. My ice maker in the fridge works but takes too long for ice to be made and the cubes are too large . I’m six days post op and this machine has been perfect. It makes ice quickly and quietly. The cubes are perfect for fitting into the reusable water ice bags. It is so fast that even while I use the ice being made I am also able to stockpile large baggies of ice during the day and then have plenty for over night refills. It is easy to work one handed, including refilling the water and removing ice. I would recommend this to absolutely anyone having surgery who needs constant ice refills. I plan to use the machine socially for ice after recovery for parties and everyday use and would highly suggest to anyone. Great machine. Great value.

Great product – The size is perfect for a small kitchen and the icemaker works pretty good, I only have 2 suggestions, on the picture that it advertised it shows the ice maker with a water bottle on top that does not come with it so I did not understand why the product show something it did not come with. The second thing is the ice maker have a small deposit and when the batch of ice is done the ice falls standing and the ice maker stop making ice because it says the deposit is full.

Two months in, working great – Bought this when our big fridge icemaker broke for the third time. We really have come to appreciate it. Don’t have to buy bags of ice from the store. That’s $10 a week. The ice comes out with the square cubes in a sheet. We just take them out and drop in the big freezer’s ice storage. We use an ice pick to easily break them up a little more. The ice stores well this way. Doesn’t stick together in the refrigerator. I suspect the smaller bullet style ice from a cheaper icemaker would stick together. This ice maker really cranks it out and will just keep making it as long as you keep the water filled. The appliance takes up some counter space, and you need to keep a little space (few inches) on the side for air circulation, and above it to pour water in the reservoir on the top. Makes a little noise while it is running, just some humming, but when it makes a batch it makes a noise when it dumps into the bin, like a refrigerator does. sometimes startles me a little. You can just keep it running if you want. It holds ice in the bin pretty well, but the older ice slowly melts and the melt water recirculates back into the ice making process. We keep a dedicated pitcher nearby to refill the water and to put the ice in to transfer to the big fridge. It’s kind of a new technology for a kitchen appliance, but once you understand how it works, it’s pretty cool.
