Work in the Asian house hold – Start off. It look commerical grade and work like one. Great suction power, hold up to my parent cooking. Great led light and 3 setting function. A bit noisy but then it got a strong motor at lvl 3. So not a big deal as it doing the job.

Stainless is streaky – Works fine but the stainless does not seem to be high quality; streaks remain after cleaning. Takes a while to “buff” until they are gone. I don’t have this issue on my stainless appliances so I assume it is a quality issue.

Looks Nice and Goes Up Quick – Although I purchased this “Very Good”, it was actually NEW, just outer box was used. Very well packaged. All accessories packed inside. Peeling off the blue shipping film was the most challenging aspect. Unpacked, plugged it in and tested it. We already had a 7 inch round vent pipe so the INCLUDED round extension was easy to install. The challenge was holding it in place and getting 4 screws to go in STRAIGHT. I ended up laying on my back across the stove, so as to push up straight. When I installed the grease trap baffles they do not lay flat, looks lop-sided. When the fan is on they are held in position. NOISE: No different than existing fan we had (you can have a conversation with someone but maybe 5 feet away would be better than at the stove. Low speed much quieter. SUCTION AIR FLOW: Tested with a receipt and at about 3-4 inches from VENT it was pulled up and held. Nice!

Gorgeous, efficient, and quiet- thumbs up – We’ve had our range hood installed for about 2 weeks now and are very happy with it! It works much better than the old model it replaced (no idea on CFMs or age of that thing but it was time for a replacement, ha). This thing is also BEAUTIFUL which was a big selling point for me.

Beautiful style – It looks beautiful. Everyone loves it. I can’t have a ducted hood and all ductless hood look ugly or old in style so this hood can be either ducted or ductless. He cut a hole in the cabinet and put a duct there. Not in the wall or outside. Easy to install. If you want a ductless hood be sure to buy charcoal filter.

I had it installed but it didn’t take my electrician long to install. Many said the light wasn’t strong enough, but they must’ve fixed this issue bc the light is extremely bright & perfect for cooking.

UC30 works well – I initially ordered the UMC30, which has an electronic control panel. The control panel was overly complicated to use, and it required 2 or 3 well-timed button presses to get the fan onto the Low setting. Then, when you shut it off, it counts down from 1 minute to shutdown. You have to hold the button to shut it off immediately. Also, the UMC30 buttons provide no tactile feedback, which makes them a bit more confusing to use. Some people might say “you need a PhD in engineering to use this.” Yeah, well, I do in fact have a PhD in engineering, and I thought it was a nuisance to use.
