Value for money Could use better installation instructions – This is a nice little rangehood. Using it for venting a Masterbuilt smoker from semi ventilated garage. Works great. Only complaint is instructions are not clear. There are some omissions. I installed it as a vented(out) exhaust. instruction says nothing about where the hole should be for an external vent. Turns out the line D is the top of the vent. You’ll have to drill the 6″ vent between line C and line D. I figured it out a bit late, as you can see in the picture . If you want power outlet concealed, it should also between C and D.

It has a neat hand wave function to adjust blower speed, etc. Additionally, you can select functions on the touch pad if the wave doesn’t impress you. The vent grates are solid and well made while the exhaust suction is adequate for a residential range. The blower fan is appropriately loud for this type of unit, so I can’t complain. I love the fact it has dual installation type, outside vented and recirculation; as I plan to run ducting and vent it outside in the near future. However, for now it is functional and works well. It is a functional and eye catching addition to my kitchen.
