Nice addition to our mini kitchen…. – We have been upgrading a former office into a guest house, and the contractors put in the microwave under the cabinets, but the bottom was unsightly, and I was concerned about grease with no exhaust. This was the only 30 inch range hood which was small enough to fit our somewhat tight space. It’s still lower than recommended, but I think it looks fine. I was skeptical about mounting on the rear wall as the only means of support, but it’s not going anywhere. Used easy anchors, and washers to get as tight as possible. Doesn’t quite fit flush to microwave above, but no one is going to care about that except me, the guy that put it in. I had to cut power cord and drill a hole in the side of the unit to thread cord up into cabinet above where outlet was. Don’t know how much this will help with steam and smoke, but fans do work, aren’t too loud, and I assume will help somewhat with filters we purchased. Nice to have light, also. Mostly, it gives our bare bones stove a more finished look. I’m happy with it.

Great Hood! – I have to admit I freaked out a bit when there were no directions or screws. I checked the box twice because everyone blamed me for throwing them out. Haha they were inside the vent the whole time. Once we stopped arguing, the vent slipped right in. Only thing was we had a wire hooked up not a plug. No worries though it was an easy fix for the handyman! Well the fans work great and l the light is super bright. Only one setting for the light but that worked for us! I wish I didn’t wait two years to get a new hood vent. I sure love it.

Good Value – It looks great, easy to install, works fine but it could use a bit more suction on high. I expected a Hurricane but got a light wind.

This must be vented – If you do not vent it, it is extremely loud! Also it comes with a cord. If you want to hardwire it you will just have to cut the cord I guess. I am not an electrician so I am not sure how safe that would be.

Fans good can see wire – Fan is good, wire comes down from behind and plugs but no too bad looking. I am fussy and am keeping it. Modern looking. Lighting was fair to good.

It’s serving its purpose – This hood was easy enough to install; however, I don’t think the suction is strong enough. Except for that one time I really burned my food and the house was foggy with smoke, it’s serving its purpose.

Know how you going to hook it to power – Know how you going to “plug” it in wire it in you will not be able to wire it directly like my old was I lucky cut a hole in the wall installed a new socket and just plugged it in. If you have a older house like mine that was “HARD WIRED” this is not going to work slim line no box for wiring. Otherwise it’s great nice light quite fan.
