      Found Some deafects after it was up . – We found small defects. After it was installed and the plastic was removed, we found scratches on the hood. But it’s up and we have to live with or pay labor and material to have it replaced.

      Quality base unit, flimsey chimney – I installed this unit this weekend. It was not difficult to install but there are no dimensions at which to install the mounting brackets so you have to do the math. The exhaust is 6″ so I had to make a quick run to the hardware store for a 6″-4″ reducer to match my vent. The base of the unit seems solid and of good quality but the chimney portion is VERY thin stainless and the mounting brackets are too light. They are easily bent if you tighten the mounting screws to tight to the wall, then the chimney doesn’t sit tight to the wall. The unit has a very modern look.
