It is a perfect match to the original – The sockets in the original assembly started failing due to a combination of heat from the 50W halogen bulbs and the vibration from the fan and heat from the stove. Since the hood was purchased 9 years ago, I didn’t feel too bad at having to replace the light assembly.

Quick and easy replacement light socket unit – When one of my hood range sockets failed after 11 years, I was glad to find an affordable replacement unit. Local appliance stores were charging 3 times as much for the part. It was quick and easy to replace and works great. This unit replaces both light sockets. The light sockets are wired together so after removing the access panel, unplug the old unit, remove the light sockets, insert the and plug in the new unit and reinstall the access panel, screw in your light bulbs and Voila! All done. It helps if you have some one to hold the access panel, but if not, use some duct tape to hold the panel so you can tackle this quick and easy DIY project.

Better than the original wire harness – This wiring harness is great. Was very easy to install. Only problem was dropping a couple screws during reassembly, lol. Had to hunt them. Minor inconvenience and my own fault. These socket with the brackets fit tight. The original ones always wobbled. So I am a 76 year old lady and if I can do it, anyone can. This company is great. This harness was supposed to arrive Wednesday and I received it on Monday. Will reorder filters etc from them when I need them. Had already purchased filters. So if you want a great product, buy it from this company. The price was also a bonus. Saw this harness for as high as $39. So an added saving.
