Great replacement – Bought this one to replace an old Broan exhaust hood. I wanted one that would be quieter than the old one. I did quite a bit of research into exhaust hoods and settled on this one. Installation went OK but it definitely is a two person project. It fit the existing exhaust stack just fine. it is quieter but the lights are brighter which makes the whole stove top light up. Not harshly but the brightness is a definite upgrade. Only complaint is that that exhaust grids are held in by spring slips on one end. it takes a bit of “adjusting” to get them to sit in their channels correctly. Once you do, it works just fine.

Awesome for the Price, Big Fan Moves a LOT of Air – Installed easily. Works perfectly. The lights cover my entire stovetop and light up half my kitchen at night. For the price, it’s a winner. In my opinion, it was well worth spending extra over cheaper models to get the bigger fan and full-coverage grease traps.

Nice mid-quality vent hood – This is a good-looking vent hood. The fan is pretty quiet given the amount of air it moves, and the lights are excellent at illuminating the stove cooktop. Build quality is not the best, with air leaks that need to be covered or sealed during installation, and a general slightly flimsy feel to the whole thing. That being said, no one will ever notice once it’s installed! While it’s not a high-end piece of equipment, it isn’t priced like one, either. Way better than a cheapie vent hood… It works perfectly well.

Looks good and button operation is great (and the lights). We got the ventless added filters and they went right in perfectly but the general install needs 2 people and then was a pain due to the shimming and absurd measurements provided by the company.(image measuring 15/16 with a tape measure).

Replacement parts – Hood vent was easy to install. However Filter replacement parts are not available based on the part numbers on the documentation we received with the vent hood. Went went to the Broan website to see if replacement filters could be ordered. The model apparently has been discontinued because the Vent model could not be found. Replacement filters could not be found. Amazon does not carry the replacement filter either. Filter model numbers for this vent are: charcoal filter 8PF30, grease filter model number is HPFA130 based on the decal on the vent hood itself.
