      Can’t beat it for the money. – With the installation of new appliances I needed to replace my white range hood with a stainless steel one. We don’t really use the hood much but I wanted it to look nice. This range hood was simple, inexpensive and still had a classy stainless steel look. I was very pleased to find this under $100 delivered and install took around 15 minutes. It also takes a standard size bulb so no hunting around for a special one was needed.

      Nice vented hood… – For me, this was easy to install, but part of my skill set is electrician. I had to install a junction box in the cabinet above to make the wiring neater and safer. Since I already had a chimney duct, I didn’t have to go through that nightmare, but I did have to relocate the collector to make it fit my facilities. All in all, it wasn’t that bad and it’s really nice having a vented hood that works. It replaced a similar model from Broan. The only difference was that the old one had a rheostat for fan speed. I’d recommend this product and would purchase another if I needed one.

Light is bright and easy to access, and because it just takes a normal light bulb, you can use your preferred type. Pretty self explanatory to install but included instructions are easy to follow as well. Definitely would recommend. Looks a lot more expensive than it was. I also bought an open box return here on Amazon that was even cheaper and was untouched. Really nice product and I’ll definitely get the Broan Nutone products again for other jobs

Most parts seem generic enough to be able to find replacement parts should something fail down the road, unlike previous hoods which have specific parts that become discontinued over time, requiring the entire hood to be replaced over something as simple as a switch.

      Hast to remove air/odors and provide some light – there were problems – First, product does work and looks decent. Quality is ok I guess, more on that later, as it has the stainless steel look (lots of finger prints) and there is an air extractor and a single socket for alight bulb. I had an older model but the motor died. Purchasing a replacement motor was $30 less than a new one and it was 10+ years old. I went for this model which has only one light bulb and not two as in the previous model but the fan seems to have a bit more suction than the previous one. It works, connections are simple (disconnect the breaker of course) and it is ok on the noise side. I wish it was quieter but for the price its ok. My trouble are related to the original order. You can see if the first picture it was broken out of the box. amazon helped with the return. I got a second one and it was good. I installed the unit but did not remove the blue protective film from the front edge to minimize smudges. When I did remove the protective film I found it to have a dent. You can see if the pictures above. It was already installed so I did not want to return it anymore and will have to live with it. Lesson: remove the film right away to see if there are dents.
