All considered, it is an excellent portable washer – First, when it was delivered to me I had to cut the plastic things off. Then I was trying to manuever the box to see the best way to cut it and where. To my surprise, I only needed to lift the box up, after taking out the styrafome. Then I unpacked it. The hardest step was taking the sink connection apart and finding out how exactly to connect it to the sink. Several Youtube videos helped me with that. Next step was connecting the water hose to the sink with the adaptor attached to the sink. You push down on the round, white thing while pushing up on the part under it. It is not hard to attach but to attach it correctly is challenging because you have to push up and hold the round, white thing down at the same time. It is not really that difficult but it is not so easy either. It finally cooperated. (Now, the more I connect it, the easier it gets.) I placed the water outlet tube in the sink and turned the water on. At this point, if the sink connection is not good, water will spew a little and/or drip. On the other hand, if it is well connected, it is amazing. The water will NOT come out until you turn the washer on, choose your 2 settings and press start. At that moment the washing machine will amazingly let the water flow from the sink. But at this point, watch where the other end of the hose connects to the washing machine. If it is not tight, it will leak. That has happened to me numerous times. Once the machine starts, just let it to its job. It is impressingly quiet while it works. Beware of where and how you leave the water hose where the water comes out. Twice it has slipped out of the sink and got water all over my floor. But you learn by doing and I now push it further down into the sink and observe the water when the machine starts emptying. It normally takes about 30 minutes to complete its wash cycle and spin. I have now used the machine for about 2 weeks and I AM satisfied!! My apt is small to I have to move the machine from the kitchen, over carpeting, the another room. To facilitate this, I bought a Vestil FWD 1824 3r fiberwood dolly with large wheels on Amazon. Mine came already assembled. It has made a big difference when trying to manuver the washing machine. Yes, the machine does have 2 wheels on the back, which are helpful, but with this dolly, moving it is much easier. Make sure to turn the water in your sink OFF before disconnecting the hose. One last comment: water CAN and does flow uphill! The water leaving the machine must go from the bottom of the washer to the top of my sink, which is a couple of feet. How it defies physics I do not know, Maybe it’s some kind of air or water pressure. So, in summary, I am very surprised that the machine can control the water flow in my sink and that water pressure can flow up. I must also say that yesterday for the first time, I cleaned the filter in the tub of the machine. It was rather dirty. Getting it off was easy but getting it back on was difficult only because I had not taken a good look at exactly how the bag with the filter was placed. It took several attempts but I finally got it to snap. Now that I know, the next time will be quite easy. The whole process and everything involved is easy once you get some experience. Like anything else. When you remove the filter at the bottom of the machine, be careful. I think water that did not flow up to the sink collected there, so when I took it off for cleaning, a good but unexpectedly came out. Solution: put a bowl under the black filter before you unscrew it to remove it. So in conclusion, I would definitely recommend this machine. One last word of advise: Read the directions before you start!

– We live in an RV and this is a great addition to our place. It is quite, easy to use and store. We wondered about the spin cycle would it vibrate, no it does not. Very solid, we have just recently purchased a roller for it and even then it sits solidly with no vibration and just works great. We also installed a quick connect to the water inlet and this makes it easier when hooking up the machine.

I use my home washer for larger loads and have used the Black and Decker compact for smaller loads to test it out. I am thrilled with it. Best decision to purchase it. I can pick it up easily although I decided to purchase a dolly for it. It is easy to move, easy to use, quiet and efficient. I will continue to use it over the winter for smaller loads. Word of advice to anyone buying….remember to not overload and use the right quantity of HE laundry soap. It is a wonderful machine so read the manufacturer’s instructions and don’t treat it like a full size machine. I love mine.
