Great product – This works great. It is powerful, the 40 volt is a lot more effective than the 20 volt I had before. I like that it lasts longer before it needs to be charged, too. Very happy with this purchase, black and decker is a good brand.

Not as good as prior version – After a decade of solid use, our existing, B&D LSW36 36V sweeper’s battery is starting to fail. Since we purchased it Sept. 2012, we thought it best just to buy a new unit since battery replacement is rather expensive. We are a little disappointed, however, because the newer model is noisier in terms of higher pitch, and it only has a single setting, i.e., on or off. The old model had a choice for high or low power, which comes in handy. We don’t think this new one is as powerful as the former one, but it gets the job done, on its single setting. We’ll be using the new one as a back-up to our old one. Too bad B&D changed this model, as it was perfect the way it was.
