Great for carpet, not bare floors. – I gave it 4 stars because I had read the reviews and already knew it would not be great on hardwoods so I bought it solely for the rugs through out our house. And for that, it works great. BUT as pretty much every reviewer has said, it is not for bare floors of any type. It uses brushes on the underside of it so those brushes need something to cling too. Bare floors don’t have that.

Perfect to keep floors fresh in between vacuuming – When I was growing up, I remember my grandmother used this all the time so she didn’t have to drag the big vacuum out — and hers was a Bissel. I wondered if, like everything else from ‘the good old days,’ these new model would be a shabby, cheaply-made version of what she had.

Comb not included as advertised – The main reason i ordered this item was because it is supposed to have a little “comb” which takes off hair from the brushes, etc. (I have another just like it but lost the brush in moving, wah…) Would it be possible to get the brush it advertises is with it? I do not wish to return the whole sweeper as i am elderly and ill and it would be a big problem to do so. That said, I am happy with the sweeper itself but Really need the little comb to clean it with. Or should i contact Bissell and see if i can get one from there? Most disappointed that the comb was not included–online it indicated it was.

A Real Relief! – I just got this item, but have used it already and can’t begin to express how pleased I am. First, the shipping was so fast I was amazed. Second, here’s the important stuff!- I was given a lovely plush carpet with a deep blue background, shows EVERYTHING! The woman who gave it to me is super clean and I am embarrassed by how this rug always looks grungy- I have a cat with super fine fur, and just couldn’t get it off the rug, even with my nice Oreck electric broom- doesn’t help that the rug is laid over a Berber carpet, so there are a few lumpy places that the Oreck just won’t address. This little ol’ sweeper is getting everything on one pass, even on the bumpy parts, the rug is getting as clean as when it was put down. Third, I have leg and arm issues, need something light- this is the one! And in my crowded little living room I am able to maneuver around and under furniture very well. The handle seems sturdy enough for what it is, it is metal, and the cleaner box itself seems to be constructed well. I like the little brush comb and the fact that it clips to the handle. This will be easy to store. I am really pleased with the brushes, they have some length to the bristles, unlike the Swivel Sweeper and I think that makes a big difference (tho that Swivel Sweeper is a real gem on linoleum, tile and no-pile carpets!). Haven’t tried it on my small spaces of linoleum, but that wasn’t what I bought it for, so not too concerned. The price is fantastic- I went to ebay first, and would have paid 2-3 times this price. I say total thumbs up on this one.

Perfect for quick clean ups – I love, love, love this!!!! I had one when I was little and have been wanting one again ever since I got talked into fostering 3 extra cats. It is perfect for cleaning up litter quickly as well as all that shedded cat hair. My only disappointments with it are that it doesn’t work well on hardwood/linoleum floors and that it doesn’t come with a brush to help clean off all the hair (mine and the cats’) from the 3 rollers. Other than that, I highly recommend it as it works on all carpet types – plush, low, etc. – and is easy to empty.

Bissell: Making ALL Her Dreams Come True – Get your woman something she will really appreciate. O’god you could her something really frivolous like flowers, which will die in a few days even she does remember to water them. Or you could get her a diamond ring, which you will be diggin out of the garbage dispozal when she forgets to take it off when she is warshing the dishes by hand. By god you could get her a new pickup truck, which she won’t really appreciate anyway. Or you could get her the assessory of every guys dream, but you would only be accused of being selfish.
