Only for pans with magnetic bottom – We got this from United MileagePlus but got the product information from Amazon. The functionality and usability are very good but we had to give it to a friend of mine. The main reason we got this is to use for a Japanese-style dinner with an earthenware pot. However, it accepts only pans with the magnetic bottom and when we put an earthenware pot on it, it didn’t allow us to set power or temperature. The on/off button was just blinking. Although this might be a well-known fact on an IH cookware, we didn’t know that and we didn’t find it until we carefully read the instructions. We have to look for another portable cookware.

I saw this model and couldn’t find any reviews on it so I took a chance and got one. I can say that I have not been disappointed. It heats up rapidly and maintains a steady heat. The temperature ranges from 140 – 460f. I guess the only drawback I have found so far is that according to the heat setting, I cannot boil water below 260 degree setting.
