High End Well Designed Wine Cooler – This Antartic wine cooler is everything as described. We installed it under our kitchen counter where our old trash compacter sat. Six months on it is working as promised, is very quiet, and looks like and is a high-end well designed (using the most of its fifteen-inch width space).

Will surfice. – I rate the unit as just ok. A bit louder that I would have preferred…not terrible but no where near as quiet as some reviews said. Biggest issue is not the units fault however the design for wine storage is opposite the unit this one replaced. The smaller top section of the unit is designed for white wine. Our old unit was designed with the lower section for white wine. Why does that matter? We are white wine drinkers. The top section on this unit is the small section…two shelves. The lower section is the large area. So we can only put about 6 bottles of white wine in the top. This matters since the colder section of the unit intended for white is the top section. The other issue for us is the shelves are rather close to each other. Any bottle bigger that the slimmest bottles will not fit. These complaints are more about the unit not being what we expected…not so much about the unit’s quality. I spent a lot of time researching units but still ended up not getting what I expected. One important side note: We did have a question about operating the unit that required us to call the seller. They responded promptly and where very helpful. Good to know the customer service was there when needed.

Looks great but poor layout – This is a tough one because this is a very good looking wine fridge and seems to be of good quality, but the set up inside is not very smart. It has two zone, which is nice, but it’s not 50/50 so your colder zone on top only has 2 racks, but the bigger problem is the distance between the racks (height) only has enough room for a standard wine bottle. With many whites and Pinots now having larger bottle below the neck they will only fit on one of the 6 shelves, and that is in the warmer of the two zones, which makes no sense as those whites would be the bottles you would want colder. The holders that slide are made of wood which looks nice, but the wood is high quality and does not slide easily, I also wonder how they will hold up long term? The blue light that illuminates the inside is nice and the digital controls are very easy to use and also look good. Overall it is a good wine cooler, but the interior layout has a lot to be desired and if you drink any wines that are larger bottles I would not recommend as space is limited to one shelf.
