Very Nice – I just used these for the first time last night. They are a MUST for anyone with a Shark steam mop. I was a bit concerned because I’d seen reviews that they weren’t made out of the same material as the pads that came with the mop originally and these were too difficult to actually push over a floor. It seemed very similar if not the same to me. If it was different material it worked amazing! I felt that they got my floor cleaner and the extra resistance the new pads created actually helped the mop make more steam. I have had the original pads for a few years and now I see why it is recommened you replace them every 3-4 months. For those who said that these were too hard to push across the floor, I bet they had forgotten how the mop used to work (like I did!). I was getting ready to by a whole new mop. Not anymore! My floors look better than ever!

Replacement Steam Pocket pads – These cleaning pads are identical to the factory pads that came with my Shark S3501N Deluxe Steam Pocket Mop. I left this review of the cleaning pads on my original review for the mop itself but I think it is fitting that I post it here:

Super buy – ” This is a stylish design and sturdy seat which easily fits all the three bathroom seats we have.Its exactly matching to what seller has claimed about this product. I was very annoyed with the one we had which was not very stable and used to move all over the place .I had to stand besides my toddler holding him till he was done and there was no splash guard to prevent accidents and i used to end-up cleaning lot of mess around the toilet. This seat solved that issue for me atleast. Besides the quality of material and build is quite good and this will surely last long. Price is quite competitive considering the features and hence I will recommend it without any reservations!”

Work fine, especially for the price – When these were purchased I was a little concerned about the reviews that I had read which noted the higher resistance or drag of these compared to the original equipment pads. We had only used our original equipment pad a few times, so we were able to compare almost new to new and there is a difference. The replacement pads are a little harder to move across the floor than the original equipment, but not much. If it is a struggle for a user to mop with the original equipment pads then these may not be for that user. However, the difference is not significant enough that I look for the original equipment pad rather than one of the new ones.

They fit well on the head of my Shark steam mop. As other reviewers have stated, they are a bit harder to push over the floor. But in my opinion, it seems to help clean the floor better. It causes more friction without that much more effort. They seemed to shed quite a bit of fuzz on the first washing, but have held up well through subsequent washings. I will definitely purchase again when it’s time to retire the pads I have.

Far better than the originals! – Superior to what came with my Shark originally. For one thing, they fit better. I had to struggle to stretch the old ones far enough so I could fasten the Velcro… and then they barely fit and often fell off while I was mopping. These fit easily with no struggle and stay securely fastened. Also, the fabric is superior. The original ones were sort of a “string mop” type fabric that never dug deeply enough into my rough stone surface type tile floors, which are impossible to keep clean anyway. These are a textured microfiber that seem to get into that rough surface much better. Yes, they turn black quickly (and show the dirt readily), but that is one way of assuring me that the dirt is on the mopheads and not on my floors. They wash easily in my washing machine. I have a 15 year old incontinent elderly dog who is confined to the tiled kitchen and family rooms, which are also high traffic areas. Whew… I won’t say I could eat off my floors (at least not until the dog dies and I have the floors professionally cleaned and sanitized), but at least I can walk barefoot in those rooms again.
