Great customer service if you have any problems – I bought this cooktop to replace one of a similar size that bit the dust. My criteria were: 1) inexpensive because it’s a temporary fix prior to a larger kitchen project, 2) works with propane and 3) more middle of the road high and low (the one I replaced had a small burner that was way too tiny and a large one that would shoot a rocket into space). This one met my needs.

Perfect for our needs – This was the perfect stove top for our off grid cabin! It comes ready for natural gas, but we replaced the parts to make it compatible with propane. Worked like a charm! All you need is a propane hose regulator (sold separately) to make the switch.

Can’t Recommend – Based on the unit that I received I can’t recommend this product. The main issue is that the machining of the gas hose adapters that come with unit are ever so slightly too large. My standard sized gas hose would not thread onto the male fitting. I went to the local BBQ grill store and bought a new fitting. I first tested to see if it fit my gas hose, and it did perfectly. I then removed the original adapter from the unit and tried to screw on the new adapter to the unit. Same problem as before. The machining of the threads were just slightly too big. In my frustration I screwed on the new fitting as tightly as possible. However, it was not tight enough and you could smell propane. It did work well enough to light the stove, but obviously the leak made it unsafe. This is where the second problem came up. The automatic ignition would fire up once. If the flame went out, the auto ignition would not work a second time. I would have to unplug it from the inverter first in order for it to ignite again. I would have been okay with manually lighting the stove, but the leaking hose required me to return the product. I will be searching for something different.
