Not for use in an RV. – This would be great in a house with a gas line and an A/C plug outlet. I ordered it for my Motor Home and realized that the igniter required 110 volts and not 12 volt. So, I had to return it and could not evaluate for how it works. It was nicely built.

Great Customer Service converting NG to LPG – I needed to convert from NG to LPG. The instructions left a whole lot out, but I called Harold at customer service and he got the stove up and running in no time at all.

Low burner flame – The burner flames are extremely low when the burner knob is in the highest position. Not enough heat to fry chicken.. The stainless panel scratches easily even with a soft cloth.

There’s nothing else out like this one. – It is exactly what I needed for my casita. Installation was a bit bit difficult because I had to buy extra equipment which should have been included according to description. Price climbled more than $100. In a very short time so that was very disappointing. All in all, I am happy with with the end result. I couldn’t have found anything better.

Can’t adjust the gas – We bought this to be used for LPG. We converted the valves with those supplied, but we cannot adjust the burners as the set-screw cannot be reached without removing the front cover. The lowest setting is unfortunately too hot to use even with a heat diffuser. The work around is to turn the gas almost off at the knob, so as to reach a flame height that won’t scorch the food. The support page for Gasland Chef doesn’t work, so I have sent a couple emails and left a voice mail for support, but I have yet to hear from them.

Not sophisticated – This is a well made and attractive cook top. There was a delay in delivery due to Covid but communication was good and we finally got the cook top. I give 3 stars to mean “average” because in spite of the positive purchase experience, the stove’s performance is not very good. Specifically, the burners are not adequately adjustable to cook a wide range of food. Neither burner gets hot enough to boil a large pot of water quickly. Even a 2 qt saucepan of water ill take 10 minutes to come to a boil. Also, neither burner turns down low enough to simmer. I made rice on the small burner, and even at the lowest setting, the rice water boiled over. I used a good omelet pan on the large burner and it was also too hot… the eggs browned before they cooked through. This cook top makes heat, and seems reliable, but if you are an advanced cook you will want something that gives you more control.

Cooks most things well. – For the most part I like the stove. The big burner could be hotter. And the smaller burner I wish I could simmer with. I took a photo of a 5 quart pot on the simmer burner and this is the lowest boil that I can get. Generally use both burners in their lowest setting. On a positive note I can put a 15 gallon stock pot that covers both burners and get it to boil. It just takes a while.
